Does it need an internet connection?
The app is designed for on-device transcription, without an internet connection during use. Your radio audio stays on your iPhone. Joining this website’s waitlist does require a connection.
How does my iPhone hear the radio?
Through your radio speaker or a compatible headset audio connection. Audio quality and the connection you use matter. Supported hardware and setup instructions will be shared before launch.
Who is it designed for?
Pilots who want a visual reference alongside their radio: from students learning phraseology to experienced pilots reviewing a busy frequency. It is a supplementary tool, not a substitute for listening or training.
Can I rely on every transcription?
No speech recognition system is perfect. Noise, accents and overlapping transmissions can affect the result. Always verify a clearance against what you hear, and ask ATC to repeat or clarify when needed.
